Design and launch of a new enterprise ad management platform across Disney television networks

Overview

2020 - 2021 ▫️ Enterprise platform on desktop web

Each of Disney’s television networks had a different ad management platform - this project was a concerted effort to consolidate those systems. We developed a new tool that would enable users to review and manage ad content in one place.

Consolidating the many existing tools gave the different networks shared access to ads and reduced the redundant steps of managing the same ads in separate systems.

 

Role

I led the design process as the sole designer on this project-

  • Interviewed the different user groups from each network + observed demos to understand their existing processes + tools

  • Designed and delivered low-fi wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, user and app flows

  • Worked alongside the Product Manager to refine requirements as the project evolved and we dug through details and user needs to inform the experience 

  • Collaborated regularly with back-end and front-end engineers to sift through data and how it needed to be displayed to be helpful for users and understand any implications for the design

  • Conducted user tests with designs and builds, collecting data to improve the UX

  • Worked with BE + FE dev and QA teams to ensure builds aligned with designs. I supported the engineering teams during development by revising the experience due to unforeseen issues that arose and provided clarity as needed.
